Bob Hahn - Pastoral Care and Adult Ministries Pastor

Pastor Bob is a Suma Cum Laude graduate of North Central University with 2 baccalaureate degrees in Religious Education and Business Administration (Marketing @ Western Ill. U.).  Saved and called to preach in 1974, he transitioned from sales to pastoring over the next six years as the Lord eventually led him to our church where he has served in different areas that include education, children and (now) Senior Associate Pastor. He married Janine Schoob from First Assembly in 1976, raised two sons, Phil and Steve and is now the proud grandpa of Aiden and Ashley born in 2008.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?  I would like to fly, just for fun, but voluntary invisibility could come in handy too.

Favorite TV show?  My favorite TV show is “Monk” (The OCD Detective)

What do you do when you’re not working?  Golfing is one of my favorite pastimes.

Favorite Food?  Asian food is usually high on my culinary list.

What was your first job?  My first job was packing book orders in a warehouse.

What’s on your iPod right now?  My i-Tunes usually play male vocalists and groups from the 60’s.

Favorite sports team?  White Sox have been my favorite team since 1959 when they won the pennant from the Yankees.

What book would you recommend?  Who Stole My Church by Gordon McDonald challenges us to see the future church reality.  A fun book on marriage relationships is The Five Languages of Love by Gary Chapman.  Blue-Like Jazz is also fun but challenging to “Normal” thinkers.
